Michelle Coelho Announces Election Campaign

Leadership that Listens. Putting our Community First

[Danbury] – Michelle Coelho (R-Danbury) recently announced her candidacy for the 24thState Senate seat, which includes Danbury, and portions of Ridgefield, and New Fairfield.

​

“I’m excited to earn the chance to represent our community” Coelho said. “We can all sense the growing disconnect between elected officials who act in their own political interests, and not our shared interests as residents, families and businesses.

 

“I am proud to bring a strong voice to our state government, respecting the values of our community and not the misguided policies of the Hartford Politicians.

Coelho, who is of Cuban heritage, would be the first Spanish speaking State Senator for the 24th District.

As a long-time Danbury resident and elected member of the Board of Education, Michelle brings her unique experiences as a single mom, businesswoman, and first generation American to the race.  

 

“The support I received for my first 2022 State Senate campaign is indicative the district is ready for change” continued Coelho. “I hear from voters regardless of party affiliation that they want to be heard, not lectured to. I am running to serve our neighbors and I intend to earn support from all voters because at the end of the day, elected officials must represent everybody, not just those who agree with them.”
